Transmission Fluid question

Transmission Fluid question
Ok, so I've read several threads on changing the transmission fluid. I've decided to go with Redline Oil, and all of the threads suggest mixing the MTL (70W80) and the MT-90 (75W90) oils together, to yield a weight closer to the 75W85 weight our transmissions use.
My question is this... is it really necessary to mix the two oils together? I'm asking because I figure that the MT-90 fluid, which is 75W90 should be good enough by itself.
Thanks.

Sorry, guys.
I called Redline. They stongly suggest mixing the MTL and the MT-90 together. It won't EXACTLY blend to the 75W85 that the transmission requires, but it's very close. They said that I can get away with using the MT-90 by itself, but it's better to be as close to the required weight, as possible.
That being said, I'm gonna blend the MTL and MT-90 oils together.

3 1/8 qts I like Royal Purple straight 75 weight, meets or exceeds OEM standards, says so on the bottles. About $10.00 a qt.

j/k..
I couldn't find any concrete evidence that RP was bad, but assumed there was some truth to it, if several people said it.
