AT cars have a dipstick that's bolted down with a 6mm bolt (10mm head). You must remove the bolt in order to remove the dipstick. It's located between the firewall and intake plenum on the passenger's side (LHD cars).

Looking at the picture you provided it should be behind the gold bracket bolted on to the back of your plenum where that greay connector is plugged in. Youll see it, its a tube with a cap bolted on the top to prevent anyone from servicing the tranny themselves.

Read your owners manual, it has some pretty specific warning about the AT fluid. Basically it's sealed - leave it that way unless you have a really good reason to muck with it.

No you will not void your warranty, they have no way of knowing you did anything, besides checking you level would never void your warranty anyways.

Again, the Maintenance Manual that comes with your car states that it should be replaced every 24 mo / 30K miles.

im resurecting this thread. I checked my tranny fluid level this morning and it shows above than it should be. I know it should be between the grooves from there its about 2 1/2" above. Im not sure if it came out of the factory like that. Mine is 06 with 19,500 miles, should i get drain and refill or have nissan drain some?
