So I've been doing a lot of reading to prep for my build this summer. Looking at prices and deciding on which parts to go with. I'm kinda at a crossroads with my choice in rods. Mainly b/c of the HUGE price difference. I see a lot of people with high HP motors running the less expensive of the two, the Eagle's. So my question is between the two, is it worth the extra almost $1k for the Carrillo rods if I'm not going to be trying to build a full blown race car? I'm hoping to end up with around 500whp. Maybe not at first, but when I'm done.
List so far in case anybody is wondering...
APS TT (Tuner)
APS Extreme Fuel System
ACT Clutch & Flywheel
Quaife LSD
APS/Cosworth Plenum
AMS Pulley's
Built Short block (to start)
Haven't decided on a EMS yet.

There is no reason to use anything but Eagles for your build. I don't remember where I saw it but the Eagle rods are good for approx 300hp each. So they will more than suffice.
