Default Mishimoto Radiators

Sup guys,

Just another heads up on parts for the Z. I came across an alternative to Koyo radiators from Mishimoto

http://www.mishimoto.com/product_inf...=MMRAD-350Z-03

This appears to be an exact duplicate of the OEM radiator. How does it improve cooling? I can't say about the value on this radiator, but that's an expensive intake they make. Wow! I never understood how anyone can possibly justify that kind of cash for a filter and a short piece of cf pipe. That's almost as much as an entire cf hood!

It's a 36mm Core. ie, the same size as the Koyo Thin Radiator.

Yeah, CF intake is a bit expensive, granted I don't think CF itself is very cheap so this may explain cost. I never had a CF intake so can't say I can justify spending that much either. It's a nice piece though for those that wanna stay NA and have a little fiber in their engine bay.

As for the radiator. What's it suppose to look like? I'm no expert but it's an aluminum radiator just like the Koyo.

I don't know enough about this radiator to go into design details. Also can't debate about build quality of Koyo vs. this rad.

Just a heads up on a product I came across and looked like an alternative to the Koyo which seems to be popular in this community.

Understood. I'm trying to find out more info myself. More options = more competition = lower prices (I hope).

If you have never removed the OEM radiator you might make this assumption... But the OEM piece is THIN. I believe even the 36mm Koyo/Mishimoto radiators are about twice as thick. Remember that the front third of your radiator assembly on the car is actually the AC condenser.

It may be an American company with a Japanese name, but for all you guys know the founder may have the last name Mishimoto, or whatever. Either way its hardly a reason not to buy their product.

As for the price, it is priced about $70 less then the V core (or thin) Koyo, depending on shipping costs, so its quite a deal. I may have to give one a chance.

There is always someone willing to save a buck or two even though it has to do with engine and cooling.

Hello, i would like to clear up that the company is not trying to sound japanese, because Mishimoto isn't even a JAPANESE word. It is strictly aimed towards the import scene and was never meant to sound japanese. Also, this radiator is just as good as the KOYO and is pretty much equivalent too it, and at almost half the price. This radiator will do the same job as the koyo will to your 350z, and if you've never TRIED the radiator, don't bash on it without getting your facts straight. For those of you who are interested in the radiator we are one of Mishimoto's distributors and stock item, and it would be ready to ship from our warehouse in California. The radiator comes with a one year warranty directly from Mishimoto. Here are a couple more pictures of the product.

We are selling this radiator for $210+15 shipping for my350z members!

You can also see our for sale thread here on 350z by going here and also check out our new mishimoto carbon fiber intakes, which are dyno proven!

It has to do something with japanese then. My dad's best friend is japanese and his first name is Mishimoto. We had this talk last month at the dinner table.
