+ 2 mpg with K & N drop in
Before everyone blows a gasket and over analyzes everything let me explain. Since I purchased the Z I have closely monitor the mpg and engine noise. I know that there is some variance between the "actual" mpg and the computer calculation. Since all measurements have been consistantly on the computer I feel that this is pretty reliable. Also, calculations were based on numbers after break in period.
I have taken several road trips in almost exact conditions. Temp, Humidity, altitiude, mph etc.... Also I have calculated the city driving versus highway driving.
After the K & N drop in filter I had the following results.
1. Less restricted air flow. Sounds like it opened the engine up and it breathes easier. A little throatier too. ***note that I live at 5700 ft.
2. Gas mileage increased from 20.9 to 22.8.
just thought I'd share.
