Hello everyone,

As the title stated i need some help. I have a 03 Z and the service light is on. I use a scan tool to pull the code or codes and got P0011 P0021 (Intake Valve Timing Control) Is anyone experiencing this problem? Is this a serious problem? And how do i fix this problem? Thanks

If you used that little SEARCH button near the top of the page and entered P0011, you would get THESE RESULTS. Scan each thread in the results for anything you can use. If that doesn't keep you busy for at least a couple of hours, go back and do it again.

Guy, don't be a d*ck to the newb. Folks like you on this site are probably the reason why some folks hate to be on this forum. If you can't help another person on this site, then just steer away from it and not say anything at all.

OP, have you tried going to Nissan? And asking them for some help?

Try going to google.com, and enter "nissan 350z P0011 P0021." That should bring up some results.

I found this one for you:

you need to reset your throttle body. not sure how it got out of calibration, but it is. Either that or you have an air leak.

Sounds just about right. OP, the link I posted above has different ways of resetting/restarting your ECU. That may help. Let us know the result of your attempts and good luck.

You Sir are a liar, you did not search, and you didn't even have the common courtesy to look at those threads that I took the time to find for you. I never said anything about you being a newb, nor did I flame you. However, now I will. You're a lazy, thankless, ignorant SOB. Happy?

You, Guy, are an idiot. Did you even bother reading my post? I showed him how to search and even did it for him. Several threads in the results specifically pertain to this issue. And I've been around here a lot longer than you, so keep the 'Holier Than Thou' attitude to your dumb ***.

You're nothing but a hypocrite. So since you've been here longer than I, you claim and classify yourself as holier than I? Or anybody else? Also, where in any of my post did I claim or state anything close to being holier than anybody? You only assumed because you felt threatened for the fact that there's someone here who's been here in a shorter time span than yourself who is putting you in your place. And yes you DID do the search for him, and FYI the link to the page you posted does NOT WORK. Credits to you for your little help, but at least check your work before trying to post something. So now who's the dumb ***? Thanks for your time. /thread

Actually, that proves neither you nor the OP bothered to look at my link before you posted the first time, or one of you would have mentioned that it didn't work before now. Busted!

As far as holier than thou, that pertained to you telling me why people don't come around this forum much. Maybe you should check the membership of this forum against some others. I've been around here AND on other 350Z forums over the past 2.5 years, and I don't need any preaching revelations from you.

My search must have set a cookie on my system which allowed it to work for me but not anyone else. So, here's step-by-step directions so even you and the OP can start using the Search function.

Near the top of the page, click on Search, then click on Advanced Search.
Enter 'P0011' in the Key Word(s) section.
Pan down and select Engine & Drivetrain in the Search in Forum(s) section.
Check the 'Also search in child forums' box.
Click on Search Now.

Now you see what I thought I was attaching this morning. You're welcome.

Honestly, I could care less if you were on this site for 10 years as well as other sites. I still don't view you as being more important to this site than anybody else. I know a few members on here that have only been on for a month that are far more informative than some of the mods and veterans on this site. This topic would be based on personal knowledge, experience, and logic. NOT membership duration.

As for the search query you did, I actually did read your first post AND clicked on the link to make sure things were correct before I replied to anything. Didn't work for me and possibly anybody else. As for the cookies on your browser, yes that might have been it.

And thank you for clarifying the search methods for the OP.

Anyway, this thread is getting off-topic. OP, let us know if you need any help. I have a good friend that works at a local Nissan Service Dept. so if you have any question, PM me and I will try and get as much help as I can for you.
