Default Installed MY Borla today!

My car now sounds like a Freaking Ferrari! I AM NOT KIDDING. It purrs nicer, growlsmeaner but is not any louder.

I definitely feel a power gain but cannot say how much. The wheels are definitely breaking loose a lot easier than before the Borla.

I figure with the Borla true dual, the injen/pop charger hybrid full CAI and an ECU flash from Chebosto (next up) I will be FLYING!

The dyno will be done after the ECU upgrade.

Another funny thing, for all of you that have the pop charger and get that whistle noise under acceleration, well that whistle went away when I went to the hybrid injen/jwt CAI. Now with the Borla it is back! I can hear the intake whoosh with air under acceleration and that whistle is back. If that means more power, I'll live with the whistle!

This Borla is FREAKING NICE!

An injen/pop hybrid CAI? Anyone actually sell the combo?

And do you really think that makes it better than the Injen alone ?

I got my Borla put on yesterday too.. I luv it.. but it'd be sweeter if it was just a TID louder at certain RPMS >_<

I think I might take the resonators off of my Borla kit whenever I get it.

I'll have to order it first though.

I actually put it togeather myself. I had the JWT and wanted the Injen so I decided to do it. There were only 2 things that were needed to get it to work. An extra adapter plate (which I got from Coz at ConZPerf.) and a conector to strap the JWT to the bottom of the injen intake.
I guess the dyno will decide if it is actually better but I figure cold air from injen and increased air intake from whatever it is JWT did to that filter. Togeather ???????????
When you are cruising it is pretty quiet. Sometimes it even seems quieter than the stock but when you get on it it comes to life. Not too loud but it is decidedly different, much more exotic , I definitely like it and personally prefer it more on the quiet side.

On a side note - total install took about 2 1/2 hours. I have air tools but only jacked the car up about 14 inches. THAT made it the pain in the ***. I need to get a better lift/jack. The hardest part was getting the stock exhaust off! Two bolts would not loosen, even with 120 lbs of air and then even a large a torch wrench! I had to put a 15 mm wrench on them and beat em with a 5 lb. sledge. After that the next difficult part was removing the stock muffler from the large rubber grommets holding the muffler in place. You need to remove two small panels from the underneath side of the car behind the two rear wheel wells to get at the long bolts holding the rubber grommets to the car. After taking the stock exhaust off...........

....................... the Borla went in like butttttaaaa!

Cool beans.

I'd like to get an Injen, but it's been raining buckets lately here on the east coast, and I've driven through a few decent puddles...

It'd scare me if I had to worry about flooding the engine everytime it rained hard.
