Default Need A Clutch For TT Setup

Well not many people know but I decised to build a motor and move to the TT setup of the FI world. Ive always been happy with my Vortech kit but want to move up to the 500 club. Of course Im way over the initial build budget and not even thinking I never planned on upgrading the clutch. I currently have the JWT clutch/flywheel. One issue I have is my wife has rhumatoid arthritus (very painful joint pain) and Im going to need a clutch that will be good for 500 or mid 5's and be usuable for her with her bad joints. I was looking at the Southbend clutch packages as I heard they are not as hard to engage and also reasonably priced. Anyone running these or can give me some feedback? Thanks.

I'd go with the Carbonetic twin disc with the 1100kg pressure plate, standard compound discs and CCM coated pp and flywheel. That would be near stock pedal pressure with huge clamping force.

The Carbonetic single disc would never hold that power. I had one and it lasted about 3 weeks with 400whp.

yeah. well sacrifices are going to have to be made obviously. if you want stock feel you could get the single disc, but like JET said it wont hold the power. if you want something that can handle the 500 marker...your gonna have to give into a harder to drive clutch...thats how it works lol.

Get the southbend stage 3 clutch/pressure plate but get their full feramic disk(both fw and pp side) This will increase holding power but wont increase pedal pressure and it should hold 500+

No personal experience but I have met a few people who swear by them. Feramic is supposed to be the real deal. Im going with the stage 4 pp with the full feramic disk, which will hold 600+ and retain a moderate pedal feel.

edit: since your worried about the lack of drivablility for your wife, I would recommend a stock FW as well. It wont be as "touchy" compared to a lighter one.
