Just one problem. It sounds so good I can't keep my foot out of it, so my gas mileage has gone down.

I installed mine last night and this morning when I drove I got a slight rattle about 1 out of 3 times when I was starting out in 1st. (WHAT A RUN-ON SENTENCE) It does not rattle when it is revved or in any other gear. Do you think this is just the pipes settling together? Anyone else have this at any time?

Its the H pipes rubbing on that cross brace. Re-check that the H-pipes are level and the rattling will go away. You'll have to loosen the braces again though to do this. Hope this helps.

...Or it's the passenger side extension pipe going over the rear sway bar. Mine was kinda tight there and over the middle brace. And the left side pre-muffler is damn close to the heat shields but I seem to have everything in place cuz I have no rattles or complaints what-so-ever!!! Gas mileage? Who cares about gas mileage?? LOL!!!

You will definitely like the Borlas, Jacket. So much better than the Stillen exhaust and so much cheaper!!!

I can easily feel the power increase, especially going into 3rd. or 4th. gear. It's incredible. And the sound is like freakin' music.

Very cool exhaust!!

I just got mine put on this afternoon. I only hope everyones right that it the sound will only keep getting better. It already sounds so much better. And they're right, you can easily feel the power, especially shifting into third, haven't gotten to take it to fourth yet.

I was down to 15.8 earlier in the week. I have gotten ahold of myself and my average is now 20.4 after resetting the computer thingy on Wednesday. Before the Borla I was averaging 19.3 for the longest time. I wonder if we will get better mileage out of this exhaust too?

yea, I was averaging 15.8-16.5 right after Borla install, but now I have pulled it back to 17.5-19 mpg.. All city driving.... and I love to rev the car!

The sound is awasome around 1500rpm - 3000 rpm

btw, I had to adjust the right side rear pipe after the resonator (sliencer) so it would clear MORE on the rear sway bar.. When you do this, I think it will lower the right side muffler a little so the right side tip will not even up with left side tip. I would rather do this incase the pipe would rub on the sway bar..

I agree. The exhaust sounds way too good. I have the Borla headers installed too and they add definite "character" to the whole system.

I have NOT been listening to the radio/cd just so I can hear my Borla mufflers.

I bought mine from Summit Racing (.com). Paid about $770.00.

Took them almost 3 1/2 weeks to get to me (backorder).

Headers??? Probably gonna have to get those, too.

Did you ( teh215 ) put them on yourself?
If not, what did the install cost? If yes, was it tough to do?

How are you guys "pulling" your gas mileage back up?

Just keeping your foot out of it??

SmokinZ...I'm also in Cincinnati! east side.

Where did you get the clear bra installed??

And please explain your Val hard-wiring. I've been trying to do this myself..

Am also trying to decide on which exhaust system to go with, Borla or Stillen. I have had the car 10 days now ) Have installed the Stillen grille and it looks sweet on my Blue ZZZZZZ.

Default ordered Borla

OK I took the jump and ordered a Borla system for my Z. The only problem is I hope it isn’t too much louder than stock to keep my wife off my back if she figures out what I have done. I also am going to paint the muffler black to match the stock muffler. Summit has the Borla on backorder so it will be least 2 weeks for it to come in my installer. I anxious to hear what it sound like in person because this seems like a cheap way to pick up power without any radical mods that screw up the warranty.
