Thanks, Yes I am very happy with my car now! I just had a run in with a 340whp evo and was very impressed with how my car faired. Thanks for all the kind words guys.

i still think 11 percent is high, do you have any dynos proving this with the same car on a DD and a DJ on relatively similar days? i know atk_designs did 239 on your DD and then did 249 on red star's DJ.......(and please dont ask, i dont have his dynos). what type of gains did you see on a full bolt on from untuned to tuned. i saw a 28 hp and 28 tq gain from tuning when i was full bolt on. a stock m6 de did 229(ch@dbee) on redstar's DJ and a stock hr did 275 (urban 350z). all these dynos are on my350 somewhere.

edit: i also found a dyno of a CAI only 03 auto from forged on his DD....and she put down 227, so on a DJ you are saying she would put down b/w 252 and 257? i guess us DJ guys have weak engines....

and did you get the tq calculated?

Yeah, our customers have posted a lot of same day comparisons...mostly on the FI forum. Other shops across the country have also done the same thing.

I dont see any stock 6MT Z's doing 210whp on a dynojet....do you? When I dynoed my stock Z a while back, it was 225whp-230whp. The stock G37 that GTM tested on the DJ did 278whp...ours did 250whp on our DD.

Ever car is a little different...some stronger, and some weaker. I always tell people, that the number isnt important...just the before and after. Even the same dyno can read a little bit differently, each time you strap the car down.

note my edit...i could understand a 4-6 percent diff, not 13. and id your saying ur stock Z dynoed 225 on a DJ that is only a 7 percent difference.

The dyno debate will never end. The only real way to know is to test on both, but again like Sharif said - it is the difference/gain that is important when you do all your testing on the same dyno. In this case, that was 17whp , which is awesome!

DynoDynamics suggests a gain of 13% if taking a car from DD -> DJ. We took a customer car straight from our DD to a DJ. We observed a 12.3% gain.

Congrats on the new numbers. As far as the dyno debate who cares? I made 405 whp on Sharif's DD dyno and recently at another DJ I made 410whp but I think the weather played a big part in the small difference. Still alot better than my 250 whp I made last summer on the same DJ. Enjoy the new power OP.

The car is worlds different, I will have dynojet numbers saturday afternoon. Its not the same day, but the weather will be similar and it may lend some more information to this debate.

These "my car puts down x on a DD and Y on a dynojet" discussions are retarded. Usually (not always) done by people who feel they have to stick up for their "low" # in the internet world, or more often, by those who get egged on by people who want to try to draw correlations where there really are none. I know its cool to share the info, and that is a great part of this site. Comparing person a's dyno on one day and person b's dyno from another day is almost as equally retarded, especially when we're talking about bolt on mods to otherwise stock engines. As Sharif said, some cars are stronger than others from the factory and sometimes by a significant %.

The only important thing in this particular instance is this:

Before = "244whp +/- 1hp. After about 7 hours of tuning and multi-tasking on Sharif's part the car came out putting down 261.6whp." That's a net gain of ~17 whp on that day, on that dyno, on that car, from cams and tuning. Nothing else can be infered from the results other than those facts. These are significant for an NA car and are the only important thing.

If you want to see what the car puts on a dynojet and how that compares to your runs on the DD, all you have to do is take it to the DJ on the same day. Any other conjectures of "what about this, what about that", and "person a vs person b" are completely useless. The comparisons between one and another will never end...but at the end of the day they serve 0 purpose anyway. If the car makes good power on a Dyno Dynamics being operated by someone who knows what they are doing, then it's bound to make good power on any other dyno being operated by someone who knows what they're doing.
