i was reading the 04 pricing article over at Nissan News.

it states "3.5L DOHC 24-valve V6, CVTCS, dual outlet exhaust, drive-by-wire throttle" wonder why they went back to drive by wire in 1 yr. anyone have any thoughts.

 

'03 is drive by wire too.

i thought it was electronic controlled throttle, if im wrong then my bad. Just ignore this thread.

 

"drive-by-wire" does mean electronically controlled like "fly-by-wire" fighter jets. This does not mean cable-link controlled, which may be what you are thinking.

 

Drive by wire refers to an electronically controlled throttle as opposed to a mechanically controlled throttle.

 

Wire=electronic.
