This should not include what is a good mod at all. This would be for people going deep into the world of NA. Questions about build parts, progress on builds. Build projects already done. New products etc.

Should make for a good section and open the world of NA to the VQ.

The cars come N/A, and more owners have N/A G/Z's so it would make sense for the subforum to be for FI rather than a subforum for just N/A

While I think a serious NA build section would be a good addition to the forum, the question is how do you regulate it... Because we all know it is going to turn into the "bolt on section" quite quickly.

An NA sub-forum would be redundant.

We already have one... its called "Intake Exhaust" . Pretty much every NA mod fits in that catagory, unless you're doing a serious NA engine build. (Which only a handfull of members have done).

It's hard to say how an NA Forum will turn out until we do it. There will certainly be people that post OT questions, just as there are people posting OT questions in the FI forum.

What's more important is that we, the serious NA people, will have a place to post about serious NA projects. Not all of us have built NA motors (yet) and not all of us have engine management systems, but there are a lot of serious NA people here on my350Z... We keep running into each other on the random NA threads in the other forums.

We would just like an NA Forum where we can talk about serious NA builds.

NA Builds might be a good name for the new forum. It distinguishes between normal, every day NA Z's and the serious people interested in building and/or tuning an NA engine.

...another reason we want an NA forum...

I've noticed recently that 'Berto and Luie are adding prefixes to the posts in the FI Forum... something like "MODS - I know this post should be in the whatever forum, but the people most likely to know what I'm really talking about are in the FI Forum. Please don't move it." That's paraphrasing, but close...

The NA people would like a forum where we can gather and build a community... same as the FI people.

Sounds like a good idea.... Just need a super mod to take care of moving all the BS out of the forum until everyone understands the reason behind the section.

I like the idea of having a forum for serious N/A engines but I could see it becoming a bolt-on heaven forum filled with topics that have been discussed many times i.e. "THE BEST INTAKE??! THE BEST EXHAUST?!?!? etc etc"

I've only seen a couple people that are actually building up their engines for n/a. . .

It's a good idea but . . .yeah. . .there's going to be some hardcore moderating to do. . .

I'd definately contribute to a thread like this. . .

The forum should be focused around NA builds and high hp NA specifics as previously stated. I pretty much agree and second everything that ___jb said.

The reason youve only seen a couple people is because the meaningful threads are so dispersed and hidden that its hard to keep track of just how many of us are out there. I think this would bring to light the growing popularity of this tuning route and would help the community overall.

If you just name the sub-forum NA. The only thing that will be off topic is something that isn't NA. You will have to get specific to get what the yes voters are looking for. If it ends up duplicating other sub forums, it will dilute them, make searching more difficult and consequently cause people to ask redundant questions because it is too hard to search for answers.
Serious NA builders would then have a worse situation rather than a better one me thinks.

Once it gets going, I can start moderating that forum strictly.

People would have to inform me of non-relative threads in case I miss any. And the current existing ones should be PM'd to be with links so I can move them all.

Just label the forum "NA Builds" and any info that pertains to taking a NA car beyond just the typical bolt ons and actually delves into WHY things are good and excercises theory's and experience should be discussed there.
