Short shifter and tranny issue ?
I read on the forums that a short shifter can mess up ur tranny ( Jeremy )
I actually have the B&M Sh. sh. on my Z for like 2 years already, and i have syncro problems right now ( 2nd and 5th gear).
the question is : this is caused by the B&M or its just the tranny whos goin crazy
I can't understand how can a short shifter mess up a tranny .
so what do you guys think ?
Thanks !

The basic science behind a shifter dictates that a short shifter will put more strain in a tranny. For example, short shifters eat trannies in 240's like mad.
What the hell does anyone need a short shifter in the z for anyways?

When I first got my Z I really needed to get a short shifter, because I had one on my Prelude and thought the Z had too long of a throw. I got the B&M and had it for a while, but after I pushed the car hard on a cruise and ground into 2nd like 5 times, I decided to set up a an appointment to get my tranny looked at ('03, under warranty). I removed my B&M so they wouldn't give me sh*t, and no 2nd gear grind. I actually liked the stock throw much better, so I sold the short throw right away, and canceled my stealership appointment.
