I went to H.T.M couple of weeks ago, I started my lap. redlining threw 3rd gear after i finished my lap i stop and noticed my engine was making a unusual sound coming from on top on the manifold. it souds like a pinging sound, anyone had this experience to there z. or any suggestions thanks in advance..

modifications list please video or sound recording maybe? still there after you have driven it off the track?

 

Engine Mods: Nismo cold air, Apex i y pipe & cat back,

sound still there, oil seems to be fine (not low)

started to take the engine a-part lst night so i got no sound or video, which I should of done

 

Why did you start taking the engine apart?

 

ya, lol why would you take apart anything without knowin whats wrong

HOWEVER, when i heard that pinnging sound on my motor, i did a compressoin test and i blew a piston ring on cyl 3.

do a compression test and see why you find.
