cat bypass valve?
Yea Hra,
I've seen two previous threads concerning the bypass valve I belive your talking about. It is installed right behind the cats and with a flick of the switch simply make it free flowing past the cats. You might wanna try a search as the previous threads had links to a website to where you can purchase the kit online. I think it was like around 200 bucks or so. Seemed to be pretty nice, and of course very loud, but a good loud

Someone should try it and dyno it, but my shop tells me that most likely you will lose power due to lack of back pressure. and if you are installing before the cats, then you need two and you will be forfeiting exhaust scavaging.
I haven't seen any specific to the 350z, but it sound like you are refering to exhaust cutouts. Put that into a google search and you will get lots of results. Some of them are electronically controlled so you can open them at any time from inside the car. It will be much louder (a good thing, IMO
) and may give you a few horses.
Let me know if there is a 350z specific kit, I would like to see it and maybe gauge interest in it.
