Angry Jet Ecu Upgrade- Ecu Died On The Track!

Well I'll make this brief but I was curious if anyone else has had JET do their ECU upgrade and how it has worked out. I was shocked last night when after driving the car 82 miles with the upgraded ECU and making one run (14.11 @ 99.75- and I dogged the start-my bad-so it could have been better) with the ECU only being in the car for a few hours, my car died as I lauched from the tree on my second run. The ECU died right there on the line. I started to launch and then it went dead. The car would turn over but thats it.. I got pulled off the track and towed home...how fun that was... JET said it should have nothing to do with their program but they will look at it Monday and call me to let me know. The main person there was trying to tell me it probably had nothing to do with them and he'll check it out Monday. I hope they make good of this problem. Cause hmm, is it me or is it strange that I had 4k miles on the car and then two hours after their upgrade it dies?

If anyone has had their ECU die either stock or modified let me know so I know if their is something going around.. thanx

Puzzled and without my car for the 4th weekend.. grrrrr

sorry to hear about that...

if it was only 2 hours after the ECU reflash.. common deduction would lead me to believe that its something that has to due with the coding they changed...

how did they change it? via diagnostics port reflash?

Default Sorry Wavehugger.

I bought a JET chip for my Z28/LS1 a few years ago; it did not live up to Jet's performance claims. Jet had no explanation for the lack up positive results. So for this reason, I will never buy another product from JET again.

I was told they only take the cover off to clip onto the correct terminal to flash the chip.. And he was basically telling me that he'll check his program and if it's still on the chip then they can do nothing for me and that some other part of the ECU is fried. Worst case senario is put it all back to stock and go visit Nissan. Oh what a pain that will be... Quote "I dunno it just won't start"

Have you tried reseting the engine management via the manual technique posted here a while back?

I've heard of the engine management going dead at WOT but it should reset after a while.

Good luck with it and stay away from JET!

you may just need to have your keys reprogramed. once any work to the ecu is done the ecu may have lost the code for the nats system.
