Default Clutch Delay Valve

Are they putting CDV's in Z's?

I ask b/c sometimes the 1st to 2nd shifts are jerky.

Yes I searched, and IMHO the search feature sucks.

i've never heard of a CDV in Z's, but i could be wrong.

you may want to research an engine torque damper...there have been some accounts of those smoothing out the 1-2 shift.

You mean the spring thats in the slave cylinder valve designed to purposely slip the clutch during fast gear changes? I never noticed this annoyance when I test drove a 05 Coupe Enthusiast so i'd say now, but I dont know for sure. If it does have one the spring could probably be removed.

I believe we don't have one. I know the AP2 s2ks have them. You can clearly tell because on fast shifts you can hear the clutch slip.

http://www.zeckhausen.com/CDV.htm

I know that's a BMW site, but it has a good pic of what I'm talking about.

No it isn't a spring
