Default Hooking up vacuum gauge

Would the highlighted spot in the (borrowed/stolen) pic be the correct place for a vacuum line for a guage?

Another member used this tap for a boost guage install but not 100% sure it will work for vacuum too. I'm guessing yes.

Ok didn't want to start another thread but which coolant hose would be the best bet to tap into for water temp.? I'm guessing the one with the blue arrow?

edit:

As long as I'm on the subject what 2 or 3 gauges would be benificial to a NA Z?

I'm getting oil temp but would like to get more than just the one gauge, since it would get lonley and they don't cost that much.

Was thinking oil temp, water temp and vacuum. What about trans temp? A/F gauge?

car already has factory water temp gauge but I was thinking digital readout for oil and H2O and mechanical analog/needle gauge for vac.

If you were/are NA what 2 or 3 gauges would you get? If any?

Never mind I know which hose the coolant temp goes to.

In searching I found this pic of a gauge mounted in the Z's door handle. I've seen them mouted in unique places but this takes the cake.

Got to admit... I haven't ever seen a gauge there before...

That's pretty cool...

The use of the term vacuum gauge [instead of pressure drop or differential pressure] often leads to confusion because some do not realize that it actually measures the LOWER than atmospheric pressure in plenum. The fact that the engine during WOT is 13.7-14.4 psi vs 8.8-9 psi at idle/cruise is confusing by the reverse reading in Hg ".

Exact numbers depend on NONCORRECTED local barometer pressure
