talk about extremes. you went from just wanting to swap out a reliable transmission to one with problems all the way to getting a Ford. Whatever.

I agree with your 2nd, but not with your 1st and 3rd. That was a ridiculous comment by you... and I have a MT..

what is really funny is how it went from being his "buddies" 05 anniversary in November to being his wanting to do the swap now.

What does that have to do with automatics? We are comparing why manuals are better than automatics, not who drives better manual. And I can care less. Lol.

Manuals are only better than autos in one way... More control over the transmission (gear, etc.)

Autos will always be better than manuals in shift speed.

Saying such a dumbass thing leads me to believe you're a young kid who loves Fast and the Furious.

May I say, you forgot something called a torque converter? Yes I know it shifts faster but you do realize automatics shifts a lot earlier than manuals? You can't hit your limit on an automatic. Go read up on automatics. Because you just made a fool out of yourself.

If going for big hp...alla drag scenarios...autos are actually quite amazing and a lot of the times preferred.

No, the OP wanted wanted to know if its easy and how much it would cost to do a swap from auto to manual. He didn't ask for us to compare them or say which one is better. Go post somewhere else you tool, you've obviously never driven a auto Z and have no idea how it works.

lol @ the OP. Why do you keep starting threads about this? Waiting for somebody to finally telling you to go for it or something? If you REALLY want to switch the z you have now to a manual, and have the money to waste doing it (and dealing with any issues that may occur) then go for it and stop asking other people what to do with your car.

I always believed that auto's were the female edition. No self respecting MAN would buy an auto, especially in a sports car.

Be careful who you're calling a fool.....what does "you can't hit your limit on an auto" supposed to mean. I can't wait to hear your response.......

Friends got an automatic g,he ran me and beat me. were pretty equal sometimes he gets me and other times ill pull him. We are both modded with bolt on. I would never get a automatic just because I love being able to shift when I want to.
