Question Aftermarket EMS controll 5AT? and other questions

Any EMS out there that can extend control capability to the Tranny? I just bought an auto and while I'm not even remotely interested in started a manual vs. auto thread I'm trying to figure out what control over revs is avail currently and what possibilities there are to finer tune it.

In manual-matic
1. Can you Redline it in gears or does it auto shift for you?
2. Can you force a down shift

My Saab can do both.

If this isn't possible in the Z is there any management systems that'll allow this? First shot at a manual and while I'm not a racer I do track my cars. I'm actually kinda excited to see what options are out there to fine tune autos. I drove a buddies 355 F1 and loved it! Same with the M3 SMG!

No tranny control yet, yes you can redline it in manual mode it will not shift for you! Yes you can force a downshift also. There are also paddle shifters available for the auto Z, I have them on my car, they are a blast!
Works Bell makes them, contact A-spec here on the forums to purchase!
Good Luck

Spend some time driving the car, you'll find it does both. In manumatic mode you can take it all the way to redline and it'll hit the rev limiter without shifting. As long as a down shift doesn't come with ~500 rpm of redline, the car will let your force a down shift too.

If you raise the rev limiter with an ECU flash, you can take it in gear all the way to the new redline, TCM does not control that.

If you keep it in D, with a raised redline, shift points are not changed.

suweeet! I was a bit worried at first. I'm still interested in seeing some EMS (hopefully haltech) add some function to the tranny. Audi has capabilities of controlling AWD and tranny control from aftermarket, so does subi.
