Default Ok I have radiator fluid everywhere...

Ok guys, I seriously need your opinions on my situation...

For the past week, I've been hearing my cooling fan running continuously even when I'm running.. doesn't sound right to me, so I was planning on calling the dealer Monday since it's Friday afternoon and they are probably closed.

I drive down the freeway and I'm getting back from the movies and getting out of my car when I notice liquid all over the place... and it's comming from my car... I notice the smell of radiator fluid... and behold it is.

So I open my hood, and I notice the FREAKING COOLANT IS FILLED TO THE TOP OF THE CANISTER. WTF?!?!!?!?

Is this the reason why my fan has been running all the time? and the reason why my car is taking a leak on my driveway? Anybody have an answer? All suggestions or answers will be appreciated. Please help...thank you for hearing me vent.

if you don't get heat, your thermostat is stuck, if you get heat you need to check for air in system

Well, I took it to the dealer...

and it started to overheat when I got there... they called me back and said my radiator was fried... I really don't understand why my radiator would be fried if I just had it service may be two weeks ago, with a 30k major service package. I mean they flushed it, so wouldn't they be able to see something wrong when they did that?

Well now I have to leave it over til monday so they can order the part, which totally sucks.. Hearing the cooling fan run every minute probably was the signal to get it checked..

I appreciate the views guys.. at least I get to learn something valuable...

Am I the only one that thinks this is a case of a dealer making crap up to get paid?

I am going with Air in the system.

Yeah I agree w/ Sean. It's too coincidental that 2 weeks after a radiator flush your car starts overheating. They definitely didn't bleed the system after they filled it up.

does your coolant tank look like milk shake or crap in it? If so, it might be a blown headgasket.

I didn't think the 30k service would've been the possible source for my problems til I started hearing other people's opinions about the whole situation...

I honestly and truly feel the dealership that did my 30k, which happens to be the same one replacing my radiator, screwed me over...

I don't know about the air bubble situation and how that works, but if thats why it causes all of my radiator fluid to shoot back into the canister, then I definitely had air bubbles...

as for the appearance of the liquid, it looked normal, like the 50/50 mix of radiator fluid and water...

I feel so naked without my Z..

If the heater doesn't work and its the thermostat would that also be the reason it is eating up radiator fluid??? (no leaks on the ground, temp goes up and down when driven)

Air in the system , and the dealer is going to charge you for there f up. Fried radiator LOL , they either leak or get clogged after years of use.
