Default LC 1 qestion

I just installed my LC1 wideband. I have everything connected except the O2 sensor, because I'll be getting the bung welded in tomorrow. I have the sensor conneted to the LC1 but not the pipe. Will this damage the sensor, or should I remove it from the LC1?

I wouldn't power it up outside of the exhaust, personally (short of calibration, anyway).

So will I be ok if I just unplug the sensor from the LC-1, or do I need to disconnect the power supply to the whole system?

I know this was a couple days ago, but just so everyone knows....The manual says to NEVER have the sensor in the exhaust without it powered up. If you've got the sensor in the exhaust, it better be connected to the LC-1 and powered up before you drive. The sensor can be easily damaged otherwise...

On the contrary, it says nothing about powering the sensor and leaving it in free air.

Yes, you can power up the sensor if the module and all the cables are connected, but be warned that sensor end gets hotter that a *****.

is that in response to what I said? I'm not quite sure I follow what you're saying...
