Sorry i wasnt sure where to post this.

2 days ago, i got in my car and started it up and I hear this very loud grinding type of noise. I let go of the clutch and it stopped. Anytime I would push the clutch pedal all the way down to the floor it would make this horrible sound, i could hold the pedal about an inch or so from the ground and it would work like normal, but all the way down and it made a terrible sound. I then noticed my entire dash was down too, no AC, no Radio, nothing.. I turned off the car, and started it back up, everything is back to normal and I havent had the issue since.. Any ideas what the heck happened?

 

mine makes the same noise sometimes, but usually when the clutch isnt pressed in...

sounds like its actually a kind of 'common' issue.. couldnt tell you what is causing it though or if its something to worry about.. but its definitely not the 1st time I've heard people talk about this

well, mine is always noisy, sounds like a dump truck normally, but this noise was unbearable. something i have never heard before and as i said it only happened when the clutch was pushed all the way to the ground. I dont see how the clutch noise and the radio/AC issue could be related, but they have to be, as both returned to normal once i re-started the car..

me neither, it was very weird and doesnt even make sense. I dont see how the 2 could possibly be related, clutch and dash?
