i got my new Cusco LSD all set up. and brought it down for the install. and the guy said i need new carrier bearings. he said if he presses off the old ones, they will probably break.
ive got no problems spending the extra 150$ for new bearings. but there is only one in the whole country right now. and its a 4 week wait to get the other one.
ive read a few install threads. and i havent ever heard about anyone mentioning the bearings. do you guys reuse or replace??

replace when ever possible, but in situations like yours(depending on mileage) they can be reused. carrier bearings are pretty hard to break, he just said that so you would prolly buy some new ones and save him the time of having to press off the old ones.
if they go bad later down the road then replace them, they are fairly easy to do.
