Engine build cost???
I talked to SGP yesterday asking about the cost of an engine build, they said approx. $2200 for labour and machining thats just for pistons and rods, ofcourse thats not including the parts(pistons, rods). Does that sound right????????????

Pistons and rods are a complex installation. Figure if Nissan quotes 10-12 labor hours on the cam install, I would say pistons and rods would take 18+ on the low end. Someone correct me if I'm wrong there. I've only watched. Never done it myself.
Best thing to do is check with a Nissan tech and see how many hours they bill out for that. That will give you a ballpark idea of the correct cost. Did they give you an hourly rate or just the full estimate over at SGP?
