Default Feeler: Possible SR20DET Rebuild

Hey guys,
My senior year of high school is coming up, at my school we have to do a SIP (senior independent project) basically do something new and talk about it at the end of the year. For my SIP I was thinking about buying a used SR20DET and rebuilding it, such as pistons, bearings, gaskets, stuff like that. I can find an sr20det for around $500. what do you guys think of this idea? tips, suggestions? anything would be appreciated. Thanks,

Might want to try a forum that deals with SR20 motors more.

After you rebuild it... Buy a 240SX to drop it in.


The SR20 rebuild will be fun, but be careful... You can end up spending a LOT of money.
