Installed the Borla TD yesterday! w00t!
Fit and finish out of the box was great. I had a few scuffs on the muffler but no one is going to get that close to it. The instructions were detailed.
The removal and installation of the two exhaust systems is very straight forward with nothing unusual. The rubber hangers were a ***** to get loose from the stock muffler even with WD-40.
The install took me a few hours just because I was retentive about the alignment and I wanted everything to be just right. One problem I notice immediately was that one tail pipe hung lower than the other!!! All I had to do was bend the metal hanger for the muffler to get them perfect.
When I cranked her up I was like, WoW this is loud! You know that little rev you get when you start the Z up? Well, it is much more noticeable now. ƒº It really isn¡¦t that loud, just louder than stock.
I tell you what; you¡¦ll find yourself riding with the windows down just to hear it. The sound is lustfully addictive! I am thrilled by the true dual sound! I find myself keeping the Z at the 3 to 4k range because the sound is so incredible.
How does it perform, you ask? To be honest, at first I was sure I lost some on the low end. It seems to take more revs to get her going. This could be burn in, I don¡¦t know. At WOT this thing comes to life, this beast wants to run.
Oh, and of course, I HAD to change that dinky grounding strap for the exhaust to one of my own!
I couldn¡¦t be happier with the system. It was purchased from 21st Century Exhaust in Florida. Ordered Tuesday 7/15, arrived Friday 7/18!
Here are a couple of pictures.
P.S. My camera that records sound is in the shop so no sound clips yet.

you know... instead of grounding everything, you should devise a master plan to reduce/deduce EMI/EMC... (Electromagnetic Interference/Electromagnetic Compatability)... really take the power quality measurements of the car before you start grounding everything with 4gauge wires...
all car systems are inheirently dirty/noisy... im sure you could get better responses from making other wires larger than just the ground.... but that 4gauge on the exhaust??? geez...

Hey Chebosto,
You are absolutely correct about taking the measurements. I am working on that.
BUT,
Don’t you guys know a joke when you see one?!?!? When I saw the 1/8th inch grounding strap on the exhaust I just had to change it because it was FUNNY!
GeeZ!
