As I currently have 530 whp / 684 Nm I need stronger rear axles. Now, I can buy Driveshaft Shop Stage 5, but I allso can have those axles made over here for $300. Problem is just how to get stronger c.v. joints. Where can I get that?

 

first off, there is no such thing as a CV joint on a 350Z (or any RWD car for that matter). it is a straight drive shaft from the rear diff to the wheel hub, no joint involved.

WOW! WRONG! i hope you were joking. 350Z's DO have CV joints, inner and outer. just like C5-C6 corvettes, porche, bmw etc. pretty much every IRS/RWD car has CV joints with half shaft axles. jaguars ran U-joint style axles.





anyways.........
i would recommend running a porche 934 cv setup. you may need to machine adapters to mate with the stock stub axles.
you could possibly ship your stock setup to Dutchman axle in Oregon. they would do everything you need to convert to the 934 cv's. i would run 300mm axles. bullet proof!

right but by the time you're done buying new 934 cv's, plus shipping and the cost of the axles, you could just as easily buy the DSS ones, from one source, and have them shipped out.

anyway, where i got that information was by looking in the service manual and saw no mention of that part being called a CV joint. that is why i said that. plus i got a solid axle mixed up with the Z's set up. was an honest mistake now that i see the experts have chimed in with this.

They offer a couple of different options depending upon what power levels you are trying to achieve and what you are using the car for. We'll get these added to our site in the next couple of days. We've offered them for awhile now, just have not gotten around to adding to the site

The level 2 axles are good for around 500 hp, with a chromoly outer cv and 4340 main axle shaft and reuses the stock inner cv.

Then they have a level 5 which is good for around 900 hp which use a 36 spline design (stock is 27 IIRC). The shaft is made of 300M steel, and again resuses the stock inner CV.

Both sets have the boots, clips, etc.
