uh...well I'm not gunna worry about the language barriers in this thread cuz im actually really curious about my car and not your origin. I think he might actually be serious though because a lot of people spell words phenetically if it isn't their first language.
and hoooper, I think what he's referring to is the fact that his car uses cables, and when installing a short that changes the pivot point is when problems can usually occur.
Someone tell me the difference between short shifter and short throw shifter? One change the pivot point?
I just want to buy a device to make my shifts physically less distance, for performance, without any detriment lol. Is that so hard?

you want a short throw shifter. a short shifter makes the height physically shorter. it will also shorten the throws, but not really the way to do it.
as far as the cables go...i have a cable shifted tranny. they work by having a ball pivot at the bottom of the rod. in a short throw shifter kit, this pivot does not change. what changes is the location of the cable attatchment to the rod. what vehicle does your friend drive?

I've been running with a B&M Short Throw Shifter and have been very happy with it. Some people say it feels too "notchy", but thats what happens when you change the throw. I have no issues shifting through 5th. 6th and reverse are a little more difficult becasue of the angle you pull at.

there really is no reason to make fun of him for the way he spells, it does not make him any less of a person and is in no way a judgement of his character. the only time that spelling/grammar is really a problem is when the post(er) is so incoherent that it is impossible to decipher the intended message.
but hellsoldier, you should not be telling my350z o.g.'s to go f*ck themselves because they do have seniority here, and obviously know more than you do. you do not have to perpetuate the ignorance.
back to the subject at hand... on the nismo short shifter; i understand that it is adjustable and allegedly while driving but my question is... does this feature ever become a problem? i dont understand how its adjustable but is it possible that it "pops out" of its intended position while driving?

do short throw shifters also act as short shifters? In other words, will the length becoming smaller as well? I'm currently using an a-spec shift **** and the leather boot doesn't go up high enough because of the round ball that my **** is. I'd want to gain both shorters shifts and less throw at the same. Any one know where I can buy this?

I wasn't being an ***......if you took that as being one, then I am sorry, but that was not my intention (hence the smiley face). Given that the thread is several days old, I don't think you're going to find any further reviews posted here, but if you do some searching, I am sure you can find reviews of both.
