Possible to to DIY install upgraded valve body on 5at?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how to do the valve body upgrade with the transgo kit? Just curious how hard it is to do and if its possible to do it at home. I drive a 03 g35 5at and usually am on gdriver but figured i'd also ask here. Any info is appreciated.
Also if there is a DIY. ive done some searching but havent found these answers.
Thanks in advance!

If you have no mechanical experiences with a tranny, I suggest you not even attempt to do this cause you can really *** things up(this tranny is so sensitive). Ive been working on transmission for over 15 year and have done a couple of these shift kit installation and it was pretty diffiucult. I dont have a diy, but could give you some pointers if needed, or if you want you can send it to me and ill do it for you. Ive offered my services here before. Im on gdriver a lot to. my screen name over there is jjyellow.
Wat makes it difficult is that you have to remove about 50 bolts from the vb and split the vb up into it 3 different sections. While separating you can lose all sorts of check ball, filters and springs, clips if you are not careful when you separate it all sorts of stuff will go flying out and if that happens good luck finding out where they go. Oh and when you put it back together you cant just slap it together and bolt it up you have to realign the whole vb again and make sure nothing falls out while you put it back together(there is a technique to this)
I will consider providing a DIY pictorial in the coming months. To work on the valve body you need a nice clean work bench and patience. It helps to have a cordless impact driver to get all the bolts off fast. You will want to use assembly gel or petroleum jelly to keep the filters and check ***** in place during reassembly. There is an assembly booklet that comes with the kit so when everything falls apart you'll know where to put it back during the dis assembly and a re-assembly.
