Default vk56de or rb26dett into 350z

i know i'll get flame for this but who cares right! i like the vq35de nice motor but ,i always like to be different everyone has a turbo or supercharge vq35de but not everyone has a rb26dett or a vk56de in the 350z ?i know there like 3-6 350z have rb26dett and there is only 2 350z have vk56de,i really don't know any shops in colorado that will do the swap that won't try toscrew me out of my money ,but i have found shop in florida that on my350z.com which is a sponsor on that forum that will do the swap for 10000.00 vk56de tune 400 hp and 10000-12000 for the rb26dett price include the motors and installation which seem decent but now the hard part deciding which to do i will probably have XXXXX.xx to spend on the swap and tuning it for alot of power! give me some information on your opinions even though if you want to flame this thread ....getting information never hurts anybody

wall. of. text.

Good luck with the swap though, whichever way you go. I think the vk would sound much sexier.

I would go with the vk56 that would be a sick swap if you have the money.

rb swap hands down. cant go wrong with either one though. i just think you will get more power out of a rb motor than a titan motor.(IMO of course)

Are you aware of the kind of internals the rb has and the power its capable of? Im not really sure about the titan motor but its NA so the compression will probably be a bit higher, and if he wants to turbo it then I think the rb would be a better choice.

Personally I would probably just build the vq and bore it to be a bit bigger. Just think you could have a 3.7 before the 370 comes out...now thats different.

well lets see. theres a choice here. 2.6L or 5.6L, lets do some math.
5.6/2.6=2.15, as in the 5.6 is over twice the size of the 2.6. ok, how about the engine itself?

vk: better engine management, shorter length, lighter block
rb: massive iron block that can handle lots of boost (but weighs a billion pounds)

in the end, you have to realize that truthfully, there is no replacement for displacement.

I honestly can't comprehend what the OP is saying since the grammar is terrible.

RB26 is by all means a great motor, legendary if that. Fact is its old technology. The VQ35 is capable of more power than the RB if built right, thats why I opted for this swap in my 240sx. If your going to spend the money to down grade to a stock RB then build it up you might as well stick with the VQ and build it, it would make more sense. So with no question do the VK56 swap and build it up. Torque will be unreal.
