I believe that the rev-up motor is the one installed in the late 2005 with man. trans., and the 2006 (what I have)hp motor. The high-rev is the 2007 and on.

2006 rev-up motors (300hp) have a redline at 7000rpm, while the 2007 and later high-rev motors (306hp) redline at 7500rpm. Someone correct me if I am wrong, however I believe this to be true.

first off, the 07+ does not have the rev up engine. completely different. the 05 6MT 35th had it, along with the 06 6MT (no 5AT had rev-up)

Most 06's dont have oil consumption issues. There were quite a few but like someone said hardly most. 26k on mine not a problem. Everyone i know personally with revup's have never had a problem either.

I am currently going through the OC test....and it seems that many of the man. trans. '06's do have this problem. Tailpipes are black with soot, always down on oil inbetween changes.

New motor coming soon.
