lol @ Nathan and Apsilon!
In true Aussie style, our pessimism knows no bounds !
And yeh, J you'd need to elaborate if you want to keep your serious customers. Did you fry a piston or did you blow a tranny?
I think anyone posting at this time would be considered a serious customer, wouldn't you?

I just think if it were a tranny or whatever come out and say it. Posting it in that way is just going to arouse suspicion in people.
Or maybe it's just my paranoia showing.

Well most likely he ran into trouble with running too lean up high in the rev range.
to run 13.5 up at 6000rpm+ doesn't seem to make our cars very happy. I was pinging with a spacer and i have 12.5 AFR at the top end.
Nissan will spot this a mile away as it just doesn't happen unless you've been fiddling.
anyway, Jason has the benefit of the doubt for a little while...just let us know what went wong pls.

The problems with my car have nothing to do with anything computer related, or even mechanical. It is all of my minor problems compounding together that is really getting frustrating. I have problems with both windows, both seats, the bushings in the clutch pedal, the "ac" noise and a few other problems that I have been living with. My car is going into Nissan tomorrow to address many of these issues. As many of you on this forum have met me, you have my word that with given time, we will have a great piggyback ecu available.
Thanks,
Jason

With that being said. Let's leave J alone. I, for one, believe him. No reason not to. TSI Guys - Go start a new thread about how great you are, and leave this thread alone.

There's no need to get on Barker's *** about asking questions. They're all valid. I don't really like Chebosto's tone in the matter since you would think that he could empathize with j's situation, but hey this is a forum, nobody should be left out of a discussion.
Jason, I hope all is going well. I haven't heard from you in a while. My Z is going in monday for a new plenum gasket, which took 3 weeks to get. When I took off the plenum to polish it the gasket must have been damaged and it's leaking. Anyhow, my car is out of the dealer on monday, so give me a ring and update me on the progress of the piggyback and that y-pipe I need.

my Tone in the matter?what are you talkin' about dan? i'm kinda Lost-
the only points i've brought up is to see base line Z tests with the ECU, nothing more.. if J wants help, he has yet to ask for it from me.

Quick recap. I'm paraphrasing but it's all in this thread.
31 July: 3 other cars will be installed within a week.
5 Aug: 2 to 3 cars installed by the weekend
12 Aug: Dyno is booked all day Wed
13 Aug: Hoping to release before the end of month
14 Aug: 2 units installed tomorrow and dyno Sat
21 Aug: Additional 5hp found
15 Sep: Delayed due to Nissan ECU revisions
There should have been numerous cars with this installed and tested by now. All I'm asking is to see the before and after dynos for those cars. This has been going on for more than 10 weeks and we don't know any new information than we did day one and before anyone says it takes time etc it doesn't take more than a day to tune a full programmable ECU let alone just a piggyback.
I just want to know if I'm wasting my time looking at this product.
