Nice Cheston...I saw the motor being worked on it a few weeks ago. I hope to see your car live when it's done and running. I also think you need some mods for looks (ie kit, rims?) to finish up that nice setup.

bosch dynos are a bit better for fine tuning than dyno jet-type dynos.... they measure loads on wheels...

repost from my description is posted a while ago:
The BOSCH Chassis Dynamometer LPS 002 measures the dynamicwheel power and the power loss in the transmission, and displays the effective engine power (brake horsepower) directly as the sum of the two.
A test-roller set with a defined inertia effect (inertia flywheel) is driven and accelerated by the vehicle's driving wheels.
The power at the wheels can be determined from the acceleration of the Dynamometer mass with the engine running at wide-open throttle (WOT).
Upon reaching the measurement speed, the engine is disconnected from the remaining drive elements by declutching. The energy stored in the test-roller set now drives all the transmission elements with which the test rollers are in contact.
The power loss is determined from the deceleration resulting from the rolling resistance, and from the transmission and bearing resistance's.
Using the wheel power and the power loss, an electronic evaluation unit calculates the engine power at the clutch.
The evaluation circuitry measures the wheel power during acceleration and the power loss during deceleration

NO WING... The Z looks great with no wing or, at the most, the factory wing. Your car is going to be sick... Keep it classy looking not ricey... Trust/Greddy Body kit would be sweet... My 2 cents

Chebosto you ARE a tease!!!
What type of timeline are we to expect before we start seeing some serious dyno's and possible costs?
I was just getting ready to order a Procharger but can wait a little longer to see performance gains and then weigh my options against cost.

cheston,

funny how i found you on this site! how did our mechanic treat you guys?

PE USA will begin taking orders for this Z33 TT kit most likely early September.

i won't release any of the numbers yet- i am meeting with Hideo today and will be discussing this in detail.

as far as the availability through sponsors... i'm working with a handful across NA. the list will be produced soon.

btw, my name is Arthur- i'm handling the sales/marketing for PE USA. PM me.

I am so glad I bought a Z, so many options are coming available and no one can touch the car looks wise, now we have the speed to go with the looks!

I too would like to know who sells larger injectors for our Z, I can't find anyone anywhere!

Ches are you using stock Fuel Injectors and do you think they could be holding you back (bottle neck?)

KaiKai
i would say the greddy is going to be more reliable, but the pe is going to put more power out of the box.

MaxHax
the greddy kit is using rc lucas 440 injectors and i also know that both nismo and pe make injectors for it.

Maxhax-

the stock fuel injectors will not handle the boost levels that you and i are looking for.

cheston:

is PE planning on putting the kit out with larger injectors or will there be power stages (as in two different kits)?

I believe I've found what I'll have around December / January.

I trust Cheston with everything in me.

Just wondering, did you have to pull the engine out to install the kit?
Good Job

update:
8/9/03

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i went to Technos to drive it today along with a minimeet in torrance.. met up with a few of my maxima driver buddies and Arthur (PE us rep) and Bobowah (Jeff) and gave them all rides..

speechless.... the boost kicks in at 2800.. no lag what so ever, and 2nd gear is your friend.. pulls really really hard after 4.5k and all the way up to redline.. i was too afraid to go past 6600 not because of our new redline it was just too fast for me to handle.. it was the first time driving my car since Feb... but it was worth the wait..

i hope Bobowah posts his experiences.. heheh

^_^

and no. do you not have to cut anything in the car for install nor do you have to drop the motor..

images soon
