sorry if this has been posted or asked already?well i have a 03 touring and my clutch is worn out already,i can barely drive my car because the clutch is really worn out from the previouse owner.Anyway im thinking about getting the exedy stage 1 and maybe just resurface my flywheel or should i get a lightweight flywheel?I was told that if i put a lightwheel flywheel im going to get some shattered noise while driving.should i just go with the nismo clutch and nismo flywheel or go with the exedy stage 1 with act lightweight?
btw do you guys know where i can get a best deal for clutch? im just tyring to shop around and save a lil bit $$$.Thanks and sorry if i sound like a noob.

Lighter flywheels will give you the concrete mixer noise. Some don't like it, while some don't mind it.
The Exedy Stage 1 is basically an OEM replacement.
If you want a decently quiet car, stick with the OEM flywheel.
Nismo flywheel still adds some chatter, but hardly any.

anyway so whats the oem flywheel for the 350z? you know any website that have a decent price for the oem ones?
Your stock flywheel it's probably fine, get it resurfaced. Around here, it's $45 to get it resurfaced, then call southbend for and advice on a clutch. Both my cars have Southbend clutches and running good.

It is NOT "basically an OEM replacement." Look up the specs then tell me it's the same thing as the stock clutch. Exedy makes the stock clutch, as they do for most manufacturers, however, their Stage 1 is far from OEM specs.
I have the above clutch with the stock flywheel. It works just fine and I never got the flywheel resurfaced. This setup is very nice (and cheap) for daily driving. In addition, it has taken much abuse from me at the drag strip and I beat the **** out of my car at the strip with power/speed shifts, launching aggressively on slicks/street tires, spraying nitrous, etc. I love this clutch and it's rated higher than most of the other alternatives.
Exedy makes most of the clutches for the other companies who just buy then rebadge. Do what you want with your money, but if I were you, I'd just save myself the name brand markup and get the Exedy. Not many people know Exedy, as opposed to JWT or ACT so they will only give you biased and uninformed answers. Exedy is rated higher than many of its equivalent and competing clutches, also, with respect to clamping force.
edit - As for the best price, search online and you'll find much better deals than you will from anybody here.
I know because I asked around with so many sponsors for their opinions and their prices about 1.5 years ago, in addition to my own research.

The Exedy Stg 1 (their 'sport' clutch) has approx. 30% more clamp load than stock. Slightly stiffer clutch pedal, but is a breeze to drive. No additional noise, etc. Includes the throw out bearing, disk, pressure plate, so everything you need for a complete change.
As mentioned, lightweight flywheels will help overall engine response and allow the engine to rev quicker, but they do add a bit of noise. This is because the way the stock unit is designed, coupled with it's high weight (acts as a damper for the noise).

I have talked to some guys from Exedy at their booth at a car show and they recommended a flywheel they make that is between a "lightweight" and the weight of the OEM. It is suppose to not have the shatter that a lightweight flywheel creates.
