How hard can I drive my Z?
I bought my 2008 350Z as a fun car because I love the way it looks and handles. There will be no aftermarket mods or changes other than to the radio.
My question is about the transmission and hard driving habits. I am not a professional driver by any means, so do I need to worry about not being the greatest "shifter"? I think that I ride the clutch a tad more than I should.
What I really want to know is if the "toughness" of the engine and drivetrain will compensate for my lack of driving skill. Any thoughts?
Thanks

So far that is exactly what I have been doing (except for the break in period of course) and have fallen in love with it. That's why I was wondering if there was any chance that I could break it just by driving it hard.

You can drive it hard without too much worry about “breaking’ anything. The Z is over-built and meant to be tracked. The transmission is tough, and the engine provides adequate torque for most situations. The stock version doesn’t have a turbo, so you don’t need to worry about excessive pressure or the expense of repairing a turbo or intra-cooler.
Of course driving “hard” will wear your tires, clutch, and brakes faster; but these are not significant expenses.
But… your question is exactly why I would never buy a used Z unless it comes from an old man like me.

I want an Intra-Cooler so bad.
