Question Topspeed Pro 1 Engine Torque Damper

http://www.injectedperformance.com/e...h.aspx?BID=106

Has any body try this engine damper yet?? If you have, can you let me what you think about it?? I searched and I come up is the Stillen and eBay engine dampers, that everybody talks about. But I didn't want that one for 2 reasons:
  1. It's a PITA to install. ( I installed one on my friends G)
  2. When the time comes, it would have to be removed to fit the Airinx filter there. (Hint, Hint)

^^^ Looks nice. But I don't think these are neccessary. My strut bar is pretty close to the top of the plenum, and it never makes contact. This tells me the engine isn't moving/torqueing much, if at all.

My G35 Stillen Strut Bar rubs the top of my upper plenum on the driver side. Mostly because of my plenum spacer. In my pic below, do notice the white line near the bar, above the oil cap. That part is bear, because all the paint has been rubber out.

Also, read this ---->http://g35driver.com/forums/reviews/...ne-damper.html

yo man i bought this from Marty and CIN Motorsports installed it. Ok u r right it is adjustable which is good and bad. Bad bc all vibrations by our engine eventually loosens it up. PITA to tighten. Also once it was installed shifts were smoother and when i was slamming gears it did feel better. However I did shatter mine after zdayz so i used it for idk 6k miles. Hope it helps

I have no proof to back it up, but my guess is that the G35 might have softer motor mounts since it is a luxury line, therefore this may have a greater effect on a G than a Z. I've been wanting to give it a try for awhile though now...def post if you decide to do it.

That makes sense, it seems that always everything on a G, is always on the softer side, than a Z.
