Default Help: Engine shutting down!

Something weird happened to my car. I have 40K on the odometer. Today I started my car and let it warm up. Then I went to the bank and turn off my car. When I came back and started the car, the engine started just fine but then the rpm's started to drop until the engine died. I started the engine again and the same thing happened! I had to press the gas pedal to keep the rpm's up for like 10 secs and then it was fine again. My car is stock (No spacer, no Intake, etc)

Have any of you experienced this before?

Do you know what could be wrong?

start with the simple stuff...check for any vac leaks, air filter. Might pay to do the idle relearn feature as well. Sorta hard to diagnose

+1 on Idle Reset or something stuck in your intake.

A friends G started doing something similar and it turned out he was out of oil and the engine seized. He had the oil consumption problem and never knew it.

I'm just saying to make sure you have enough oil in the car.
