Default ACT Clutch

I currently have a TN Set up at 370 WHP and 400 WTQ
This is my DD, the question i had was i was looking for a good DD clutch that could hold up my power and still be able to drive around town with.
Was thinking of going with the ACT Street clutch but after reading some posts it seems that a lot of the guys with F/I with the same power level are running 6 Puck, not sure if its the right decision to make or not.
I also wont be upgrading the flywheel, just clutch.
Please chime in, Thanks!

All 6 puck clutches are not created equal. The disc above for example is “sprung.” You can see the springs in the disc. The springs reduce some of the shock to the drive train when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

Above is a no-spring disc. Not quite as street friendly as a sprung disc.

A spring vs a no-spring disc is not better or worse. Just different.

Thanks for the reply and example David, looks like the sprung would be more ideal for street rather than the unsprung which could be more ideal for perhaps a more race set up. Im still not sure if a 6 puck is needed for my power levels and if i get away with a ACT Sreet clutch which holds up 455 TQ
im looking for minimal if not at all any slippage. Im also not sure if i should go with a flywheel as well (Prolite from ACT) my car is my DD but i also want it to perform good at the dragstrip which is the only type of racing that i do so no autoX, drag, circuit etc.
Thanks in advance.

Clutches are a toss-up. A 6 puck clutch grabs and grabs fast. It will not slip. On the downside it is not as street friendly as the OEM clutch.

+1 I have an ACT 6-puck and it grabs fast and hard...and it's a sprung hub too...I don't even wanna think what an unsprung would be like on a street car

I drive mine everyday too and it has almost 20k miles on it. Although the pedal is considerably stiffer than stock, I love it I've beaten the **** out of it at the drag strip and it takes the abuse like a champ, so no complaints here.

ACT Clutch Kit – Heavy Duty Pressure Plate with 6 Pad Spring Centered Race Disc
Torque Capacity: 582

ACT Clutch Kit – Heavy Duty Pressure Plate with Performance Street Disc
Torque Capacity: 455

SO, Performacnce Street Disc should be fine for your torque.

ACT XACT Streetlite Flywheel ( 16.9 lbs )

ACT XACT ProLite Flywheel ( 13.2 lbs )

yes, Fidanza 13 lb flywheel. The 12.3 was on DR's with a weaksauce 1.84 60ft. I nailed a 1.5 60ft before that, but popped a coupler and lost all boost
