Default New Z owner - School me! -non revup, revup, HR?

***CORRECT ENGINE STATS ADDED BELOW***

I'm new to Nissans, and a brand new Z owner!! I just want clarification....

Non Revup = Automatic 03-06 VQ35?

Revup = Manual 03-06 VQ35?

HR = +07 VQ35?

Also...what are all the engine codes for the different years? My background is +10 yrs in the Honda scene, where a lot of motors were interchangeable. Are all 03-08 motors "swap-able"/interchangeable? (Eg. Could I swap an '08 VQ into an '03 Z w/o modifications? Are all Cams/heads interchangeable?) I'm trying to learn more about the VQ motors.

Help a new owner out

I've searched already, but nothing I found directly confirms my questions above.

Don't feel bad, G35Soul, people yell to use the search, but the search provides really poor results, and no one wants to admit it, lol.

Perhaps you get to use the boolean search that was disabled for non-premier members? When that was enabled, it worked much better.

It seems like the real problem might be that if you have 4 search terms, and if finds those 4 terms anywhere in an entire thread (instead of a per-message basis), it brings back that thread as a result. Because of that, HUGE threads that are completely irrelevant are brought back constantly.

Also, what I don't understand is the hostility around here for someone making a post that could have possibly been searched for.

Exactly. The search function for this forum is not user friendly. I've researched and come up with the conclusions above....Just need someone to confirm I imagine this thread will be helpful to someone in the future.

Actually, not all 06 models have the revup.

Just 06 MT, 06 AT's remained at 287 horsepower
