Default I reached the 1st K

i hit a 1000 miles today, and i started thinking about my next oil change, i know i still have about 2500 miles to go, but i just want to know if you guys change ur own oil, because i was thinking about taking it to the dealer, u kno, to have my warranties and they told me that i would have a a warranty for my tires as long as i bring in my z for the oil change but mostly i jus wanted to share tht

If the dealer does the oil change, there's a record of it in the system so if there's ever a question about proper maintenance on the engine, you're covered.

If you get it done by a quicky-oil-change place, keep your receipts as proof.

If you do it yourself, keep receipts for the oil/filter and keep a log of when, mileage, etc.

If you don't keep good records and bring your car in with engine issues later on, they can always claim that you didn't maintain it properly. Better safe than sorry.

true, thanx, i might just end up takin it to the dealer, so if anythin goes wrong or wutever.. its on them.. im planning on taking it when i reach 3500, wich is the best time to do (i heard) but im thinking it might be ok to go as far as 4500.. wut u guys think?

Manual says every 3750 IIRC. Anything with a couple hundred miles of that should be fine. If you oil is dirty, go early. If it's still clear, delay it a while.
