Default Simple question (with pictures for show and tell)

Is there a bolt or something missing there? Seems like there should be one. If yes, is it important? The hole appears threaded and seems to go in pretty deep. Thanks.

Yours too? Huh......a little strange why Nissan would place a threaded bolt hole there under the intake for no apparent reason.

But thank you for your reply. Good to know that I don't have a bolt missing.

It seems like you might worry to much.

Actually yes, I do worry, but don't know if its too much. My 350Z is a very recent purchase, and a very expensive one (USD60K for a used 2004). Before that I had a BMW E46, and boy did I spend big bucks on repairs for that car because I did not recognize potential issues early on. It literally put me in financial debt, especially with cars and car parts being 300% more expensive here than in the US.

That's why I don't want to leave any stone unturned on this one.

I wasn't consciously searching for missing stuff.......I was actually installing a grounding kit when I came across this. Its pretty obvious actually if seen from the top just above the intake.

The monkeys aren't as frequent as they used to be. Must be global warming.

It appears you're either being extremely nitpicky or you're finding problems with the car everyday.

Ok then, answer me this........if you recently purchased a used car for $60K and then find what appears to be a missing bolt in the engine bay, what would you do?

I kinda see my 350Z as an Indian dude, so dry humping Mr. Ramalingam would be quite gay.

But your proposal does beg the hypothetical question.....Could I ever love my 350Z enough to want to hump it someday?? Frankly, I do believe I would.

At least you're honest about it. Most of us are in the closet.
