Default Another transmission grinding question

I'm having the typical transmission grinding problems on my '07 350Z, however even when I shift at 3000 rpms it still grinds from 1st to 2nd. The same is true from 2nd to third. If I push in the clutch and let the rpms drop (aka, wait a second or two) and then shift, everything is fine. Of course this makes the car lose a lot of speed and makes me get about 13mpg. I brought it to the shop and they said they couldn't find the problem. Consequently, when I got my car back I also started experiencing the bucking problem.

I thought it may be a synchonizer problem, but I'm not sure. Does anyone else out there have this same problem or some input as to how to fix it?

Just take it to the dealer- if it isn't from abuse you should get it fixed under warranty.

The problem is that I bought my car in the US, but have since relocated to Bogota, Colombia. The Nissan mechanics here in Colombia are good, but they typically need a little direction. That's why I was hoping to get some advice.

As for abuse, I'm typically sitting in traffic at a stop, so there isn't much abuse there. Even on open roads I don't typically exceed 4000 rpms for several reasons. One, I don't typically drive too fast, and two the roads here are very poor.

Mine does it regardless if the tranny is hot or cold.

Well typically the grind comes from a bad syncro- so let you mechanics know your getting a grind and you suspect a bad syncro.

I brought it to the shop and they topped off the transmission fluid slightly and aligned the tires. It shifts a little better now, but still grinds a bit. In a few weeks when they change the slave cynlinder they said they would also change the transmission and rear differential fluid. Hopefully that will solve it.
