Default lower gears??? good idea??

Well one day i was watching a video of a corvette and it was at 70 at 2,000rpms. I was like dang good cruising rpm. I thought why not do that for my z? I would get a longer time in each gear. I do plan to go FI when my warranty goes out. I thought for FI purposes it would be great because i would get more time to build up more boost sense i have a longer gear .

I think right now for n.a purpose it would be great because i could save just a tad on gas and still have some good power after i tune it all of course.

What i plan to do with the tune is get the longer gears and have redline at 8k and try to have it make power up to around 8k.

Just wondering if you people on the forum think this idea would translate into actual worth while mod and that it wouldn`t be a waste of money.

Any help from the forum would be great .

Im try the auto gears, the 3.35s i think, but i think that would drop the rpms alil lower at like 70, at the moment with the stock 3.54s @ 70 i think about 2500 maybe it'll goto 2200 or 2250...

What you need is a 7 speed transmission.
