Veilside Tear Drop Sound file!
This is the Teardrop exhaust. This particular recording is done on a US Spec car, with cats and factory intake. This particular exhaust used has stainless steel piping and titanium rear section.
The car is being revved all the way through the powerband. I was about 2 feet with the microphone pointed directly at the exhaust opening. The mic was from my digital camera, so it's a little distorted. Later i'll have an in car video, showing the tach, while listening to the exhaust.

im not listing on my studio monitors or on my studio computer.. but it sounds like this clip was either recorded with a very poor quality mic or was recorded with a 22.05kHz sample rate...

hey swifty,
i remeber meeting you at the so cal sportscar meet thingy, dunno if ya remember me, but i was the guy with the DB Z and with the G35 guy, and rich from bulletproof.
anyways, is there a substantial weight savings of this exhaust compared to the full Ti system? also, i wouldnt expect the Ti system to have anymore power than this right?
thanks

Yah the digital camera microphone sucks a$$ + i may have recoreded it too close, so it may have gotten distorted.
it's 60mm = 2.364inches
3" is kinda too large for a NA application. A turbo version exhaust may come out, once the veilside twin turbo kit is finished being developed.
Hey Daytona, i dont remember the exact weight of this one, but i would guess 25 pounds????? If you look at the design, its basically the canisters and flange that bolt onto the stainless part. Its more a less a cool look, just like the HKS Titanium for the Supra.
This exhaust we tested is the revised US Spec exhaust. The Ti will have the same power, but power to weight ratio of course is different.

1 inch is 25,4mm so the piping is about 3,15 inch. Tip is 4,5 inch
