went out to LACR (the drag strip at Palmdale,CA) to watch some of my friends run.. and i met a guy from Valencia that owned a brand new silverstone Z with a newly installed Stillen S/C and was running an AEM/Injen hyrbid intake..
story goes, he had the AEM but dyno'd only like 297 rwhp (or was it 287? it was kinda loud there, the domestics were running, but i'll give AEM the benefit of the doubt), and didnt like the filter location so he ended up just buying the lower portion Injen and swapped it in and got 303 rwhp. But he relucantly told me he saw a stillen S/C with a stock intake run something like 310 rwhp...
so he's running 19" Racing harts in the front and rear, and the S/C and intakes are his only modifications..
the fastest time i witnessed was a 14.77 @ 101 (wheel spin all through 1st).... and since Palmdale is something like 2,710 feet above sea level, the conversion (on LACR.net's webpage) is ET: multiply your et (at LACR) by .97
MPH: multiply your mph (at LACR) by 1.03
so after the conversion it was 14.32 @ 104
hmm..
the stillen S/C sounds great.. high pitched sound, no crickets!
just wanted to report. since ppl were asking for S/C times..
i have yet to run my TT Z... hopefully soon.

104 that should of put him in the low 13's. not to bad. I race a stillen with my stock z and let me tell you he was about 4-5 cars ahead of me at the nightly drag races. Ran my car at texas motor speedway (NHRA approved) 14.1@99. So all i could say is that he had a bad 60' time. I still wouldn't buy one the guy with the stillen sc told me it gets way to hot and starts to ping. I hope that the water intercooler for that sc comes out soon for his sake

Is there any way you can take your Z out to Famoso in Bakersfield once you get your twinturbo setup chebosto? That way you can get a time that is relative with almost everybody else in this forum. Or what about the other speedway over in Ontario i think it is? Maybe run it at more than one dragstrip.

as far as My Z's quarter mile testing.. i think i'll probably be going to Carlsbad or Fontana... Bakersfield is a bit of a drive for me, but it would be a good test for heat issues for extended mileage runs > 200 mi ..

Is just my opinion but I win over a stock Z for more than 6 cars and I have only this mods (Sig.) so for $4,000 mod I will spec a little more than that!
yep that was rediculous.... The launch made me laugh hard. I think the guy just needs to get a feel for his car, he should be launching like a pro soon. Adding a good 50 HP will make you need to relearn your habbits of launching and driving
Stock tires won't get you 12's not deep 12' s like I like. Spinning off the line with no Hook can cost tenths 3-4 if you spin in first and second. If you want to race get tires otherwise be happy with higher ET's I speak from experience.
Cheston you are the guy I met at Albertsons right that pic in your sig in the rental car? Cool! Do you have a cure for what ails me lol! I could use one! You have everything man!

Just goes to show that the Stillen unit, isn't as good as the ATI.
Compare the amount of time that the Stillen unit has been out to the number of people that have it vs. the ATI unit.
It makes me laugh with evilness.
MWUAHAHAH!

Albertsons?
wth?
as for your cure, the only thing i could suggest is after you fix your car, roll it down to So Cal and let my shop tune your car...
