Default Upgrading Pistons and Rods, what else MUST be upgraded at the same time.

I'm not going with an all out build. Low C/R pistons and Eagle Rods.

What else do I HAVE to replace or upgrade when I swap this stuff out? Bearrings?

I'm already upgrading my head gasket to an HKS...

Thanks for the help guys. Your always extremely helpful, and terribly sarcastic sons of bitches.

Pistons, rods, bearings, are the basics, along with the necessary machining and balancing. We also upgrade to ARP Mains and L19 head studs.

Are you doing the installation and assembly yourself?

I installed the TT kit myself. I'm never working on the motor again lol

I was going to send the APS headers out to get ceramic coated if anyone thinks it will be worth while... Any recommended shops?

no need for the NISMO pump - its a great part, but you don't "need" it

Revup oil pump, engine gasket set, water pump, idlers - we can supply or your local dealership

you need all the bearing

I didn't set a budget. But let's say for conversation's sake, $2500. Again, no clue on labor yet. Anyway I can penny pinch is more money towards other places. But really, there's not budget. I do enjoy doing work myself, but I just don't have the know how for this. I didnt for the turbos either but I wanted to learn. And learn I did lol..

^ labor will cost you alot...
Best bet to learn is you have to search, look thru people's build list, shop build section, and even 'cars for sale' section( check out people's build motor car ) That will help you alot.

Edit: imo, build motor is totally diff game then install TT on motor. (Has to be done at professional (Mytwocents) . Shoot PM thru sponsors, see they can help you out build motor.

Btw, who tune your car when you installed TT?

Nobody has tuned it, I don't drive the car though. It starts and runs with no problems on the APS ECU's settings. I've been talking to UPrev in Austin, TX because I'm moving to Killeen. They are going to tune it. It's running rich right now and the idle is unstable. Aside, runs well.

I wanted 500whp on 93oct. I think this is reasonable and feasible.

I think a fully built block would be overkill and more expensive to buy parts and have them installed. **** man I dont know. lol
