Ok guys, I have a G, but I'm pretty sure the Z's have this same ground strap. When I pulled the motor I undid the strap and set it to the side, now I cannot figure out where it goes....

It is a small silver ground strap, on the driver's side top of the motor, that has one bolt that goes somewhere to the motor and the other end slides on a bracket thats welded to the fender. Anyone know what I am talking about?

i know what you're talking about, it's been a while, but I want to say that it connects to the exhaust manifold shield.
