Default Oil Gauge. Quick question.

So I just began to notice that they oil psi in my car is at 30 when idle, but whenever I drive it goes up to near 120 depending on speed and acceleration.

Is this normal? Before, I just remember it being at about a constant around 60.

I have a question for you. If acceleration pegs the gauge why would you put more oil in the increase the pressure?

Do a search, many threads address this.

Thank. Yeah, i know my idle psi is okay, but just wondering if it going all the way to 90-120 was normal during normal driving.

Im wondering if I never noticed it before, or something happened after I got oil change at dealer.

anyone else's do this.

Sounds normal to me. As long as your oil level is good, when checking with the dipstick, there's nothing to worry about...
