Default Bearing Puller

Guys after this particular bearing puller. I have searched the net but finding it difficult since I do not have a name, product or code. It is not just a bearing puller but can be used as a press at the same time etc.

Any ideas?

PS: It may be a toyota service tool according to the post in the other forum

I know where u are coming from but the tool is true multi functional as it works as a pully and a press. The amount of differenent adapters that come with it allows it to do so much. It is a huge kit.

In that picture it looks like that puller is attached to the bearing. There has to be another attachment to somehow stabilize the puller to the object the bearing is attached too in order to push the bearing back on.

I'm a service Technician & we use THIS Puller/pusher on commercial grade washers when changing out the main bearings. In your picture it looked like they had a Step plate adapter for the bearing itself & then you can get a Bearing separator to pull & push as long as what you have has mounting holes to attach the pusher too. You'd have to buy another set of jaw's to clamp it to the object itself. Hope that helped some.

Are the bearings you're trying to push on under extreme pressure? We generally use a 4lb hammer & the old bearing gently tapping it & that generally does the job.

Nah I came across the thread here (http://www.eurocca.net/forums/showth...t=29623&page=1) and if you go through the thread you will understand the different ways he has used it. I found the parts in the Toyota Yaris preperation manual (http://www.scribd.com/doc/8677940/20...01-Preparation) and if you do a search for the part numbers below you will see what the kit comprises of etc.

09950-40011 Puller B Set
09951-04020 Hanger 200
09952-04010 Slide Arm
09953-04030 Center Bolt 200
09954-04020 Arm 100
09954-04030 Arm 150
09955-04011 Claw No1
09955-04051 Claw No5
09957-04010 Attachement
09958-04011 Holder
09950-60010 Replacer Set
09951-00590 Replacer 59
09950-60020 Replacer Set No2
09387-02010 Oil Seal Replacer
09951-00810 Replacer 81

Currently not trying to achieve any result. I saw the tool and as I do most of the work myself on the Z I thought it would be a good tool to have.

The puller that go-fast posted works very well. Matco also makes a similar set up part number MST4520. It is basically the same kit as the Snap-on one. The setup in the op pic looks like a dealer only type of tool probably made by Kent Moore. I wouldn't be suprised if it didn't cost around $1000. Unless you plan on doing ALOT of these, just use one of the other pullers and a good hydraulic press.

Z Ology.. U are a legend. It is Kent Moore/spx as I found the parts on their web site. Yes it will be expensive but it will also be used in a mini workshop etc.

Thx a bundle

multi-function tools almost always have a comprimise to achive the "multi" part of the equation.if you are tool happy and must have it then go nuts, but buying dedicated tools to do dedicated jobs is the way to go.btwy snap-on puller comes with multiple adaptors.

That tool looks extremely versatile, but it also looks expensive. However, if you have room for a shop press, with a few accessories, you could do everything it does and more.

So, what exactly are you planning to do? If you are only planning to remove R200 carrier bearings, (aftermarket LSD install) then the tool go-fast presented is the best one. However, the OTC 4520 is a cheaper, identical alternative. Personally, I have used this puller from Harbor Freight many times with success, but it isn't the best quality. The metal is soft and it's hard to grab the bearing without slipping off.
